Our Heritage
Our story starts in 1925 in Pogoni, Epirus- a world of tradition, authenticity, and purity.
It is here that the Mpoumpas family established its roots with a privately owned herd of 3,500 goats and sheep and an award winning cheese production facility, which remains in operation today in its modernized form.
Grandpa Mpoumpas started the first butcher shop in 1957 and thus began a proud family tradition.
Over the next decades, the business grew and expanded , but always remaining faithful to the roots. In 2004, a new shop in Melissia was opened bringing Mpoumpas nearer to Athens.In 2015, the company relocated to renovated headquarters, a space which is a combination of tradition and modernity.
In 2022, Mpoumpas opens its first high-end store in Kifissia, Athens and sets a benchmark in deli meats. In 2023, Mpoumpas introduces the Fine & Premium Deli Meats range, a new product series for gastronomy enthusiasts
